ColdFusion Programmer

ArcStone is currently seeking candidates for a ColdFusion Programmer position. We are continuing to grow our core web consulting business as well as several web based products. Developers of all skill levels are welcome to apply, but we give preference to those who meet most of these following traits:

  • Experience with CF MX7 and/or 8 and other versions.
  • Experience consuming and producing web services in SOAP or REST, consume and produce XML, connect to and utilize database and filesystem resources.
  • Understands SQL and database design--write complex select statements (multiple joins, sub selects, etc) as well as design data relationships.
  • Familiarity with SVN (or other source control tools) and experience working in dev/stage/production (or similar) environment and managing release cycles.
  • Learns new things quickly and enjoys it--you will be working with a wide variety of clients, products and technologies and learning as you go will be a must.
  • Knows at least one other language--our preference would be PHP, but we have also had occasion to use Ruby [on Rails], C/C++, Python, Java, and .NET.
  • Has some experience with Agile methodology--we utilize aspects of Agile, especially Scrum and XP on a per-project basis.

Required Skills - Expert Level

Web Application Project Manager

ArcStone is currently seeking a web application project manager. Your responsibilities will be focused on leading web-based software projects from requirements to launch for a variety of clients. Candidates of all experience levels are welcome to apply, but we give preference to those who meet most of these following traits:

  • Experience with Agile methodology. We utilize aspects of Agile, especially Scrum and User Stories on a per-project basis.
  • Experience managing web application projects beginning with involvement in the sales process through launching the final product.
  • Learns new things quickly and enjoys the process.
  • Has enough technical experience and knowledge to be able to identify project pitfalls and establish effective relationships with the development team.
  • Flexibility and creativity to find or create the right tool or process for the task at hand.
  • Experience managing the balance between budget, time line and scope.
  • Enjoys engaging in the client business processes and interacting directly with clients.

Entry Level Server Administrator

ArcStone is seeking candidates for an entry level server administration position. We will give preference to candidates who have:

  • Experience with Apache web server configuration.
  • Exposure to Windows or Linux server administration.
  • Exposure to SQL and relational database systems - MySQL or SQL Server.
  • Experience with one or more web programming languages ColdFusion, PHP, ASP.NET, Ruby on Rails, etc.
  • Enthusiasm for technology and computers.
  • Curiosity to learn new technologies and concepts.
  • General computer troubleshooting skills.
